Mrs. Cox is originally from the Duffyfield area of New Bern, NC. She has a Master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in nurse leadership and administration. She has 12 years nursing experience with certifications in pediatric nursing, school nursing and public health. Mrs. Cox has a passion for serving the public and caring for children. She strives to inspire others and knows the importance a good education can play in the lives of children.

Denise Magwood

Board Member, Infinity Learning Academy Board of Education.​

Mrs. Magwood, the wife of a retired Marine and mother of 10 amazing children and 4 grandchildren, is originally from Winston-Salem, NC. She is a business owner, community activist, heavily involved in her church where she serves as a SOAR (Sold Out And Radical) Teen Leader amongst other things, but more importantly, a STRONG advocate for children and education. She serves on several PTO organizations within the Craven County School System while also being an approved HUG Volunteer. While she is a huge supporter of public school education, she is very pro-choice. She believes people have the right to choose the BEST education for their children. 

In the near future, Mrs. Magwood will become a Guardian ad Litem for NC.

David L. Green

Hi, I’m a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer based in North Carolina, with a deep-rooted passion for anatomy, pathology, and the biological sciences. What began as a fascination with the complexity of the human body has evolved into a lifelong commitment to understanding and exploring the intricacies of life, death, and everything in between.

​

I’ve successfully passed five board exams, including the National Board Arts and Science exams, the State Board Arts exam, the North Carolina Pathology Board exam, and the NC Funeral Rules and Laws exam. Currently, I’m pursuing a degree in Science Education, with plans to attend medical school to specialize in pathology.

​

In addition to my academic background, I work as an autopsy assistant at the medical examiner’s office. This hands-on role allows me to work closely with human anatomy on a daily basis, deepening my knowledge of disease processes and the structural complexity of the body in real-world settings. Outside of the professional sphere, I’m a passionate photographer with a focus on forensic photography. I also love spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, kayaking, camping, or fishing. I have a creative side that finds expression through graphic design, Photoshop, fine art, and classical music. When I’m not working or exploring, you’ll usually find me reading, writing, traveling, or caring for my aquarium.I’m someone who thrives on curiosity, creativity, and continuous learning—and I bring that energy into everything I do.

Iya C. Dennis

Ms. Cummings has a passion for Teaching. She specializes in Early Childhood Education, but is eager about the Growth and development of the middle adolescence. Her main priority is the academic success of each scholar in a safe, comfortable, and effective learning environment. 

Within her 2 years of being in the education field, she has seen a lot and done a lot. Being on the Infinity Learning Academy Board will allow her to bring her dedication and experience to make a positive difference within the community.
